Indian Trail has been recognized as a 2007 Tree City USA by The National Arbor Day Foundation.  Tree City USA recognizes communities that have proven their committment to an effective, ongoing forestry program and is sponsored in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service.
