Wall mounted power and data boxes, as well as wood blocking for televisions, is being installed. Truck and duct installation is in progress on both floors, and mechanical equipment has been delivered and stored in the attic. Electrical rough-in is in progress on both floors, and plumbing piping has been installed in the walls and overhead. Fire protection piping is in progress.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2016 Work on the metal decking at the new Indian Trail Town Hall building is complete, and crews are scheduled to begin pouring the second floor concrete next week. That will be followed by pouring for the roof.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2016 Crews have continued work on exterior changes to the Town Hall building over the last two weeks, including deconstructing and modifying structural steel, getting ready for roof decking installation, grouting base plates and preparing steel tube for windows.

The construction manager is currently working with subcontractors in validating the durations of project activities, while the concrete pour on top of steel decking at the site will start in mid- to late-September. Crews also are working to install a camera at the site to record future progress and allow residents to check in on the project online.

AUGUST 19, 2016 Crews have returned with equipment to the site of the Indian Trail Town Hall project and begun work on structural steel efforts, which are expected to continue for the near future.

AUGUST 4, 2016 The contractor will return to the site of the Indian Trail Town Hall project next Monday, while the structural steel is targeted to be completed within a month. Once steel work is completed, crews will be able to move forward with the next stage of the project.

JULY 27, 2016 The Indian Trail Town Hall project's Construction Manager has informed the Town that construction crews will return to the Town Hall project site the week of Aug. 8 to resume work following revisions to the design of the project. Additional construction materials needed to complete the structure also are expected to be shipped the week of Aug. 8. Patrick Sadek, the Town's new Director of Engineering & Public Works, will work closely with the Construction Manager during the final phases of the project and as construction moves forward in the coming days.

JUNE 28, 2016 The Town expects to receive permitting approval from Union County regarding the revised design in July. The delivery of structural steel is expected to take place in August, followed by building dry-in, which is anticipated to take place in December. Interior finishes would then take place in March 2017. The anticipated completion date remains April/May 2017.

JUNE 1, 2016 The project contractor has paved the first of two lifts of asphalt on all the pathways and parking stalls around the site. The final lift wont occur until the final stages of the project. Union County was presented revised drawings for permit approval on May 26, 2016. While the permitting process moves forward, the Construction Manager continues to coordinate and schedule with the steel fabricator regarding the approved plan changes. The process for selecting and coordinating the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) is ongoing. The Construction Manager anticipates work to resume onsite in mid-July, and the anticipated project completion set for early 2017 remains unchanged.

MAY 10, 2016 The stone base has been completed on the pathways and parking stalls at the new Town Hall site. The grading contractor is scheduling paving work, while interior redesign work continues to move forward.

A look at how construction is progressing as of April 20, 2016.

APRIL 15, 2016 Most of the concrete curb and gutter has been installed and backfilled. The contractor has installed all irrigation sleeves and has begun to backfill the main interior square in front of the building. Fine grading for vehicular pathways has begun. The contractor will be implementing stone base in these pathways in the coming weeks. Interior redesign continues to move forward.
