Over the last few days, we have noticed large groups gathering at some of the Town’s park amenities, such as the sand volleyball courts.
The Town’s goal is to keep the parks open as long as possible; however, to help promote social distancing, health and safety, we will be doing the following by the end of the day today (March 20, 2020):
- Chestnut Square Park
- Locking the tennis courts
- Taking down the sand volleyball nets
- Locking up the goals on the turf field
- Closing the bathrooms
- Shutting down the water fountains
- Crooked Creek Park
- Closing the dog park
- Locking the ball fields
- Closing the bathrooms
- Shutting down the water fountains
As you continue to enjoy the parks, please be mindful of the following:
- Avoid gathering in large groups
- Continue practicing physical distancing by leaving at least 6 feet between people
- Stay home if you or your child are sick
- Use hand sanitizer and disinfectant regularly while at the parks
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to limit the exposure and spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
