[ARCHIVED] Indian Trail to Honor Staff During National Public Works Week

National Public Works Week Logo

It's time to take a moment and thank the team that helps keep Indian Trail functioning at its highest level every day.

National Public Works Week will be celebrated across the country from May 16 - 22. In recognition, the Town of Indian Trail is taking the time to thank the men and women of its Public Works Department. The team is responsible for keeping the Town's infrastructure in working order each day - maintaining the Town's buildings and grounds as well as streets, sidewalks, Indian Trail's three parks and much more. The Public Works Department also is responsible for most stormwater repairs, the Town's solid waste and recycling contract and other tasks.

In honor of National Public Works Week, the Town will be sharing a video each day that highlights a different aspect of the Public Works Department. To view the videos, follow the Town’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/IndianTrail.

"Indian Trail has an incredible Public Works team that helps maintain the infrastructure of a town of more than 40,000 people. National Public Works Week provides the opportunity for the community to get to know our team and all they do each and every day for our citizens," said Adam McLamb, Director of Public Works. “So, if you see them out in one of the parks or in your neighborhood, be sure to stop and say hello.”

Mayor Michael Alvarez read a proclamation recognizing National Public Works Week at the Tuesday, May 11, Indian Trail Town Council meeting.
