OPEN FIBER will begin fiber infrastructure construction in several Indian Trail subdivisions sometime in May. They have already started work in other areas of Union County, with plans to connect more than 50,000 homes to its fiber network.
Some Indian Trail residents will begin to see OPEN FIBER employees start work in their neighborhoods next month. Those residents will also receive communication from OPEN FIBER about the upcoming construction. Once Indian Trail receives a schedule, we will be able to share more specific dates and locations. OPEN FIBER's goal is to wrap up construction within two months of the start date.
OPEN FIBER received the proper permits from the Town and is responsible for all costs related to the fiber installation. This is not a Town-led project.
