CSX Corporation will begin replacing the railroad crossing on Indian Trail Road on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
During construction, Indian Trail Road will be closed at the railroad crossing in both directions. Please plan your commute accordingly until the project is finished.
Weather pending, CSX expects the project to take approximately three days to complete. The Town will provide updates as they become available.
CSX will replace the wooden railroad ties with a more durable concrete apron that will last longer and hold up better to wear and tear from traffic.
“The repair of the crossing on Indian Trail Road has been a long time coming,” said Mayor David Cohn. “We appreciate our residents’ patience as the Town worked with CSX to get it fixed. The new crossing will be smoother and safer and help keep traffic moving along Indian Trail Road. We look forward to the completed project.”
