The Indian Trail Town Hall will be closed on Monday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, June 20, at 9 a.m.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they had been freed by the Emancipation Proclamation.
To celebrate the holiday, Indian Trail is hosting its annual Juneteenth Celebration tonight, Friday, June 16, from 6-9 p.m. at Crossing Paths Park (120 Blythe Drive). This year’s event will include music, poetry, art, dancing, food trucks, local vendors, and family-friendly activities.
