Indian Trail’s annual Halloween Spooktacular is on Friday, Oct. 20, from 6-9 p.m. at Chestnut Square Park. So, put on your favorite costume, grab your candy bag, and get ready for some Halloween fun!
The main attraction is the famous Trunk-or-Treat line, where kids receive candy from local businesses and organizations. Families can enjoy additional festivities around the park, including games, a pumpkin bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, and free pumpkins. A bubble performer, a stilt walker, a sword juggler, and a magic pirate will also be providing entertainment throughout the event.
Food, including hot dogs, pizza, chips, nachos, and drinks, will be available at family-friendly prices. Cash is preferred, but cards will also be accepted. All proceeds will go toward purchasing gifts for the Holiday Heroes Toy Drive.
Parking will be available at Chestnut Square Park and the Indian Trail Town Hall on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking will be available along Chestnut Parkway, at Fisher Textiles, and on Blythe Drive, which connects to the park by way of the Affinity Trail. All kids attending should be accompanied by a guardian during the event. Please, no pets.
Pleasant Plains Dental is sponsoring the event again this year.
“The Halloween Spooktacular provides a safe environment for kids to trick-or-treat and enjoy the fun of Halloween,” said Nick Brauninger, special events coordinator. “It’s one of our favorite events of the year because of all the kids and families who go all out to join in on the fun and engage with us and their community. We love seeing all the creative costumes that come through the event. Thank you to Pleasant Plains Dental and all the other businesses and organizations that help make this such a special evening for local families.”
