Marcus McIntyre, a long-time Indian Trail resident who has served as president of the Porter Ridge Athletic Association, was appointed to the Indian Trail Town Council on Tuesday night.
McIntyre is a senior financial analyst for Bank of America, and in addition to his work with the athletic association he has been involved in the Poplin Elementary School PTA and the Annandale neighborhood HOA. He has said his goals in joining Town Council are to keep taxes low, improve area infrastructure and to continue improving the Town’s relationship with the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
“I appreciate this opportunity, and I look forward to serving the people of Indian Trail,” McIntyre said.
McIntyre, who ran for election in November 2017, was unanimously appointed to fill the seat of Councilman Monty Keistler, who resigned last week. The term will end in December 2019.
