Live music, multi-cultural food, tons of games, kid’s activities and much more is coming to Chestnut Square Park this weekend for Indian Trail’s Family Fall Fest.
The festival, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the park, is a celebration of the art and culture that makes Indian Trail a unique, one-of-a-kind community. More than 60 vendors will be on hand, in addition to performers such as dance groups, a bagpiper and much more – such as a Home Run Derby Contest, courtesy of event sponsor D-BAT of Indian Trail, and the Indian Trail Pie Eating Contest, courtesy of Lidl.
Family Fall Fest also will include a large “Kids Only!” zone full of rides, games and bounce houses, and a separate area where adults can purchase food and drink from locations such as Sweet Union Brewing, Tika Buzz and Dumpling Girls.
“Where better to be on a beautiful fall day than enjoying an afternoon in the park with family?” Indian Trail Event Coordinator Hayden Kramer said. “Help us usher in fall to Indian Trail by celebrating all that makes our community special, and checking out the great musicians, artists, potters and all others that brighten our lives with their craft.”
Chestnut Square Park is located at 320 Chestnut Parkway. Find more information about parks and programs in Indian Trail at www.itsparksandrec.com.
