The Town of Indian Trail is hosting a Public Input Meeting for the Indian Trail Road Complete Street Phase 2 project on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Shirley Howe Community Room at the Town Hall (315 Matthews Indian Trail Road).
The Phase 2 portion is an extension from both ends of the Indian Trail Complete Street Phase 1 project limits, which is currently in right-of-way acquisition. Phase 2 will consist of more transportation improvements that will be located along two portions of the existing roadway. The first section of construction will be between Gribble Road and Old Monroe Road, with the other section between Liberty Lane and Independence Blvd. These transportation improvements will include the installation of storm drainage, curb, and gutter, 10-foot multi-use concrete paths on both sides, and a two-way left turn lane down the middle of the street.
During the meeting, guests will be able to view the project, which will be separated into several large maps displayed on easels throughout the room. They’ll also be able to view renderings of what the final product will look like once the project is complete. Town staff and the project consultant will be available to answer questions.
Guests will also be able to provide feedback on the project via an online or paper survey that will be available at the meeting.
If you’re unable to attend the meeting and would like to learn about the project, contact Todd Huntsinger at 704-821-5401 or tdh@indiantrail.org.
