Marcus McIntyre was first appointed to the Town Council in 2018 to fill the remaining term of an open Council seat. He ran for office in 2019 and was elected to a four-year term, during which time he also served as Mayor Pro Tem. Council Member McIntyre chose not to run for reelection in 2023. He ran again in November 2025 and was elected to a four-year term.
Council Member McIntyre lives in Indian Trail with his wife and three sons.
