About
Clarence Edward Alsobrooks, Jr. was elected to the Indian Trail Town Council in November of 2023 for a four-year term. During the December 9, 2025, Town Council meeting, he was sworn in as Mayor Pro Tem and named as the delegate for the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) and as the second/alternate delegate for the Centralina Regional Council, two positions he's held since taking office.
As a native of Indian Trail, Council Member Alsobrooks has witnessed the growth of the Town over the last two decades. He chose to run for a council seat as he recognized that changes were needed in Indian Trail, and he wanted to be a part of making positive changes for the Town. As a Council Member, his short-term goals are to encourage more citizens to get involved and attend meetings, focus on building a community center, and expand Indian Trail’s park system. Long-term, Council Member Alsobrooks’ goal is to develop solutions to alleviate traffic and manage growth so it occurs at a more sustainable pace to improve residents’ quality of life. Council Member Alsobrooks wants Indian Trail to maintain its small-town feel where citizens are engaged, involved, and feel like they have a voice in their community.
In addition to now serving on the Town Council, Council Member Alsobrooks has also served on the Town’s Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. He is also a member of the Union West Rotary, is a mentor at Cameron’s House of Hope, and attends the First Baptist Church of Indian Trail East Campus.
Council Member Alsobrooks is an Air Force veteran. He has worked in the construction industry for the past 30 years and currently works for a property management company.
